In 1995 a group of concerned parents and business leaders found the need to establish a new school for children with autism in Jacksonville Florida. The Jericho School was created to make available the best practices in early childhood development and education to families who have children with developmental disabilities. At that time The Jericho School was one of only a few select schools in the United States to provide a science-based curriculum utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis. The Jericho School has become a model program and a leader in the treatment of children with autism and the application of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior.
The mission of The Jericho School (non profit 501(c) 3 corporation) is to provide comprehensive, individualized science-based education not otherwise available in our community. We believe those children with autism and other developmental delays deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential. The school’s curriculum provides effective treatment and education programs to children and their families based on Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior.
